Boiled Fruit cake

I have always loved a boiled fruit cake, I once made a couple in a hurry for a quick 2 tiered wedding cake for a friend, whos wedding cake had been dropped and broken.
We got away with it.

4 cups mixed fruit
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup sr flour
1cup flour
1 cup water
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 eggs

In a pot place the fruit,sugar water and nutmeg stir till boiling add butter mix add bi carbonate of soda stir again, take off the heat allow to cool a bit
Add flour and mix lastly add eggs and mix all together
place in greased and lined cake tin, bake 180degrees for 1 hr or cooked thru test with skewer
