When berries are in season we can often go and pick them ourselves
or buy them fairly cheap
This recipe is so yummy!
8 slices of bread of bread (crust off)Buttered cut into triangles
2 cups of assorted berries (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries)
Your choice
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 cup of cream
1/2 cup sugar
Preheat oven to around 180 degrees Celcius
Butter bread
Place 1 tablespoon berries on bottom of greased ramiken
Top with a piece of buttered bread add more berries on top
repeat till full add berries last show a bit of the bread through the berries
this will go nice and crisp and look great
Whisk eggs cream milk and sugar
Pour into Ramikens slowly as liquid absorbs refill
Place in baking pan water bath (baking dish with boiling water in it)
till half way up the ramikens
Place in oven and bake till center is firm to touch
Serve with whipped cream or icecream
